For years, Embr Wave has given you the ability to cool down or warm up at the touch of a button. But one thing we kept hearing from our incredible community of Wavers is that, as powerful as it is to be able to press that button to get relief right when you need it most, there are also times when it would be handy to have something a little more automatic.
Maybe you’ve had your hands full rushing out the door in the morning, or been stuck in the middle of a busy day trying to juggle ten things at once. Maybe you’ve been meaning to work on a sleep routine for ages and haven’t quite gotten around to it, or you’ve wanted to try out a more structured way to manage hot flashes. Whatever the reason, the message you’ve shared is: “I wish my Wave could just take care of it for me.”
So we built Scheduling.
Why We Built Scheduling
At Embr Labs, we believe temperature is more than comfort. It’s a tool that can help you feel better, sleep better, and live better. Over the years, many of you have created your own “thermal routines” by manually starting sessions around the same times each day. We were inspired by this creativity and consistency.
But we also saw the friction: remembering to start a session, switching between modes, and juggling different needs throughout the day. Scheduling is our way of lifting that burden, letting your Wave work in the background so you can focus on living your life.
Think of it as setting a reminder. Except instead of an alert, your Wave delivers the perfect warming or cooling exactly when you want it.
The Stories Behind the Schedules
When we designed Scheduling, we were focused on building something that would help our Wavers live their best lives. That’s why the beta includes a few ready-made schedules to help you get started. Each one was inspired by real feedback and real needs we’ve heard from our community.
- Thermal Alarm (6:30 AM, weekdays): A cooling nudge to help you wake up and jump start your day. Perfect for anyone who’s trying to stop hitting the snooze button every morning.
- Morning Breeze (7:30 AM, weekdays): Gentle cooling to help prime your body for a cool and confident day and keep you from melting down during your morning routine.
- Afternoon Boost (2:00 PM, weekdays): Brisk cooling to cut through that mid-afternoon slump. Instead of another cup of coffee, you get a refreshing reset that helps perk you up so you can power through the rest of the day.
- Bedtime Wind Down (9:00 PM, daily): A warm, steady session that reminds your body it’s time to slow down. Think of it like dimming the lights but with soothing thermal relief that won’t interrupt anyone else’s routine.
- Sleep Cool (10:00 PM, nightly): All-night cooling for those who tend to overheat. It keeps you balanced and comfortable through the night so you can get the sleep you deserve.
These aren’t just schedules; they’re little rituals that make your days and nights feel more supported. You can adjust the day or time to make them your own, or build a temperature schedule from scratch.
How It Works
Getting started is simple. In your Embr Wave app, tap Sessions and open the new Schedule (Beta) tab. From there, you can:
- Create a new schedule by choosing a mode, time, and whether it repeats.
- Pick one of our ready-made recommendations with a single tap, then customize it however you’d like.
- Edit, toggle, or delete schedules anytime. The app will even let you know if two schedules overlap so you can adjust.
Once set, your Wave will automatically run sessions at exactly the times you choose. No more remembering, no more fumbling—just comfort when you need it.

We see Scheduling as more than just a feature. It’s a way of making your Wave even more of an ally in your daily life. And since this is a beta release, it’s also the beginning of a journey we’re building with you.

My Embr was still working when I moved from California, but the charging disc no longer did. It didn’t make the move.
Mine only lasted for a couple months this summer.
