Embr Wave 2

Embr Wave uses a thermoelectric heat pump that generates cool or warm sensations by moving heat away from or towards your skin. These sensations stimulate the temperature-sensitive nerves on the inside of your wrist, triggering a natural mind-body connection that helps you rebalance your perception of temperature so you can feel better fast.

Temperature is personal, and different people respond differently to Embr Wave. No — and it shouldn’t.

Outside of extreme situations like hypothermia or fever, feeling hot or cold doesn’t have much to do with your core temperature, which stays around 98.6ºF. Feeling hot or cold is instead based on your perception of local thermal sensations across your body. 

If you've ever tried to cool down in bed by sticking one foot out from under the covers or flipping your pillow to the cool side, those actions aren't changing your core temperature. By introducing cool sensations on one part of your body, you can quickly change how you feel all over.
